The look has been refined and perfected by switching from rough, heavy fabrics to more airy, chiffon-like materials that won’t weigh you down. The lightweight, sheer fabrics are not only comfortable but a great way to keep cool in this summer heat.
Don’t think this trend is only limited to dresses and skirts; you can try it out on other fun, versatile pieces such as palazzo pants, shorts and tops. Incorporate the trend into your summer wardrobe by investing in bright or pastel color pleats which are perfect for a day out in the city or a fun night with friends. Fall runways were also filled with pleats in more neutral colors which show that this new take on texture is here to stay for next season.
