Once again, L.A welcomed the American Music Awards (AMA) at the Nokia Theatre, where fans ultimately chose the most prominent singers and music acts of the year.
Nominated artists and other celebrities that were in attendance included Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Jennifer Lopez. Major winners of the night Taylor Swift and Adele (each taking home 3 awards) were also in attendance.
Many celebrities attended and looked amazing on the red cart, where large formal dresses and short dresses seemed to be the night’s trend. Others, were not well put together in their overall presentation and were highly criticized by the media.
Glitter dresses were in heavy rotation on AMA’s photocall; highlights of the night included Taylor Swift’s Champagne dress (Reem Acra) and Selena Gomez (Giorgio Armani) and Heidi Klum who both wore silver ensembles.

As usual, not-so-traditional black dresses were of choice by artists such as Jennifer Lopez and Katherine Heigl. Lopez, who performed her chart-topping hit “On the Floor” with Pitbull chose a lace and transparent look by Zuhair Murad Haute Couture, while Heidi chose a low cut black dress which was cut low in the rear.
Male guests in attendance such as DJ David Guetta and singer Joe Jonas preferred a more casual (yet well put together) look, mixing black jeans with a formal blazer and casual shirt; undoubtedly a youthful and modern look vs. that of female celebrities in attendance.
The prestigious Skylight Soho Hotel in New York welcomed the 8th edition of the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund, with Anna Wintour –Vogue’s USA Editor- and the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
French designer, Joseph Altuzarra, was the main protagonist, because he was the winner of $300,000 to finance his own fashion projects, getting the support of American Society.
Many celebrities went to the famous event, where they wore their best on the red carpet. The classic “black & white” combination, mixed with leather and transparent clothing (current fashion trends), succeed in different types of short and large dresses.
For example, Amanda Seyfried chose a white feathers piece combined with black peep toes, while Olivia Palermo wore a 100% black look with a short dress combined with a small clutch and high heels in the same color.

Most women in this world like to play it safe along the lines of fashion. In order to attract men, they wear the typical tight clothing and the revealing necklines. At the end of the day it’s normal to want to attract the opposite sex but then again who are we truly dressing for, men or for ourselves? Leandra Medine from the blog The Man Repeller shows us that wearing what we like is what truly matters.
It’s that time of the year again when children and adults come together for a spooky evening of indulging in candy and excessive amounts of alcohol for the latter. Halloween is not only a holiday made for fun but a night where everyone gets the chance to transform himself or herself into a character.
Pink is one of those colors you love or you hate. Throughout the years, it’s been practically engraved in our culture that pink is the color of femininity. Little girls are born into pink rooms and are dressed in frilly, pink dresses. Once we start growing up the last color we want to see or wear is pink, at least in my case.
There is nothing cooler than wearing leather and there’s no room for those who beg to differ. Leather has been around for decades and has been the go-to clothing choice for trendsetters and rock stars. This season embrace leather or faux-leather to bring the ultimate “cool” factor to your outfit.

Whoever says you shouldn’t dress in all one color is completely wrong. An outfit based on one specific color is not only a statement maker but also an interesting way to incorporate different clothing pieces and accessories. This fall, head to toe color is one way to stay right on trend.
